Discovering Oman's Historical and Cultural Gems 12 Days/ 11 Nights

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will gather in the hotel lobby for a half-day Muscat City Tour. The tour begins with a visit to the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, where you can admire the second largest carpet in the world. We will then explore both modern and old parts of Muscat, including a visit to the Bait Zubair museum, which houses a remarkable collection of rare historical artifacts. We will also make stops at the Al-Alam Palace, Mirani and Jalali forts dating back to the 16th century, and the renowned Muttrah Souq. Day 3: Muscat – Quriyat – Tiwi – Sur (B) Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Today, we embark on a full-day tour to Sur. We will travel in a 4WD vehicle, taking the scenic and rugged coastal route. Along the way, you will be captivated by the breathtaking views of the Gulf of Oman's blue waters and pristine white beaches. Our first stop is at the Bima Sinkhole, a stunning limestone crater with mesmerizing blue-green water at its bottom. Next, we'll visit Fins Beach, renowned as one of the most beautiful beaches in Oman. Continuing our journey, we'll drive through Wadi Tiwi, a picturesque valley with traditional houses and lush green palm tree plantations where water flows throughout the year. In Sur, we will check in to our hotel. After dinner, we'll head to Ras Al Jinz, famous for its Green turtle beach. You'll have the opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures nesting or hatching, creating an unforgettable experience. Alternatively, the turtle beach visit can be scheduled for early morning. We will leave the Al Sharqiyah Region (East Region) behind and make our way towards the Al Dakhlyah Region, the interior part of the country. Our next destination is Jabal Al Akhdar, also known as the "Green Mountain." Here, you will witness the cultivation of various fruits and trees in the mountainous terrain. Jabal Al Akhdar is renowned for its production of Omani rose water, adding to its aromatic charm. Accompanied by our knowledgeable guide, we will take a scenic three-village walk, capturing memorable photos and enjoying breathtaking viewpoints. After the mountain experience, we will proceed to Nizwa, the former capital of Oman. Upon arrival, we will check into the hotel, where you can relax and unwind.
